Beau and I have been on opposite shifts all week since we’ve been back from Florida, and I can’t wait for Monday when we have a day off together again, BUT it is really nice having the whole day to myself and being able to work on projects.

I had a small to do list today, and two of the things on it were:

laundry.

dinner.

I had waited all week long to do laundry since I never had the motivation to do it all in one morning before work.  Plus, I like to keep little projects like this until my days off since they help me feel productive.  I know, it sounds weird, but even when I’m kept busy with things I want to do, I start feeling unproductive when I’m away from work.

And you should know, I’m the worst cook ever… so this dinner task is quite a big one.  I had to email Beau 4-5 times to make sure I was doing it right.  I even took a picture with my blackberry, and sent it to him… bc, like I said, I suck at cooking.  But…

it turned out great!! It was edible and Beau even seemed to like it! (Hmm.. maybe I could actually make a birthday cake next week for Beau’s birthday?)

Slept in. Cereal for breakfast. Watched Ellen just long enough for the dancing part of her show. Checked Google Reader. Hot shower with Maebree kitty asking to come in. Left over Enchiladas! Drove to work while listening to Rush Limbaugh. Easy day at work. A few emails with friends. Purposely avoid CNN coverage of Obama. Read Glenn Beck. Drive home while talking with my sister. Cuddled with kittens. Sleep.

What a busy few weeks!  They’ve gone by incredibly fast.

Two weekends ago, we had a family game night at our home.  But earlier that day I had the chance to take my two neices to the park to take pictures.  Sunny in the morning, and then a front came through bringing cooler weather and clouds, so the first pictures were a bit tougher to take with the harsh light.

Such a sweetie.  Laughs at the most random of times, but that’s alright.  I think Beau thinks the same about me sometimes too.

The last one I was figuring out how to use Lightroom and some presets. Just playing around but I love how it turned out. And after playing with Lightroom for a week or so now, I can’t believe how long I’d gone without it! Just amazing…

That’s all for now, as far as pictures. I’ll post some of the trip to Florida in the next couple days. Just getting back into the groove/routine of being home. And I really wish it wasn’t Winter still. Being locked up inside all the time, just wanting to fun free outside like I could in Florida is torture!!
