I’ve said it before, but I seriously, am hopelessly, in love, with Fall.  We’ve had a pretty rainy October here in MN, and I’ve been very lucky to have photoshoots on nice days.  But this past Saturday was gorgeous!  I’ve just got one pic to share with you right now; my fav from a session with my aunt, uncle and cousin.

I’m so sad the Fall colors are starting to fade.  I really think this may be my favorite time of the year.  The bright yellows, oranges, reds… love them.  And this family really knew how to make those make those colors stand out.

You may recongnize this family from a wedding a few weeks back, Kate’s brother and sister in law.  I was so glad when they contacted me about doing a family/engagement session bc their daughter, Sonya is one of the cutest 7 month olds I’ve ever met.  So adorable.

Just a little obsessed with the leaves, but it was sooo cute!

And how cute are her parents? She’s a lucky little girl.

It was a little cold and there were a few tears from the little one, but you wouldn’t guess it by the smiles here!

Then we focused on some pictures for Kate and Jesse’s engagement.

I absolutely have fallen in love with Fall!  And this outdoor wedding, though a bit chilly, was so beautiful.  I could not believe the details of the backyard of the bride’s mother.  I would give anything to have a backyard this adorable.  An old potting shed, flowers, hydrangea; the perfect touches.  You’ll just have to see it for yourself in the pictures below.  And though I don’t have many photos from inside here on the blog, just take my word that the inside of the house was just as beautiful.

What did I tell you about this backyard?!  Notice the bonfire to the right of the cute potting shed.  The early wedding guests were loving this.

The girls were so chilly.  I had a coat and gloves on while taking this photo, so you can imagine what it felt like wearing dresses!  They pulled it off well though.

It was the first official snowfall for MN today, and even though somehow the temperature at Minneapolis airport got to 40 degrees, it was a chilly day.  (I was sort of hoping for the high temperature to only reach 38, as it would have broke a lowest high temperature record for the date)   Well despite the cold, I shot an outdoor wedding at a gorgeous home.  I didn’t get to take many pictures from the inside, but you’ll definitely get a glimpse at the backyard of this home wedding.  Pictures to come very soon!

In other news, my little nephew, Zachary, was over the other day to give me some company.  I am SO excited that he lives so close, with our own baby, little E, coming soon.  They may even be in the same class in school, which would be so wonderful.  He’s already got his best friend here and waiting for him and that makes me very happy.  Not to mention, he’s got another cousin, Hayden, who is 9 months old now, waiting for him as well.  Tons of fun.  Only 20 more weeks until little E can meet his cousins!

I’ve started a new series of pictures I want to save for some type of scrapbook for baby.  Here are the first three I’ve finished up so far (I missed week 19 though… just been so busy).

I absolutely love fall.  The leaves, the feeling, the smell, the chill… it makes me so excited.  Especially on a day when the clouds move in and give me such beautiful light.  Luckily, Saturday was just like that.  And the colors of the trees were perfect.  Perfect for an engagement session with my brother in law and soon to be sister in law.  Check out these colors!

Hoping for a ton or more beautiful Fall days like this!  Unfortunately it is looking a lot cooler with even some snow soon…

Trish is someone I’d heard about for quite some time actually, because she works with my sister in law.  So it was really great to meet her and put a face to the name.  And then as a bonus, when I met her finace’s family, I found out they knew my other sister in law’s family.  This really is a small world. 

I was asked to shoot their reception, which was held at Como Park.  So simple yet elegant.  And they had great food (well actually I never had any, but it looked amazing!).  Receptions are, I think, the most fun part of a wedding.  Food, friends, family, dancing… good times.

I love the speeches.  I dread speaking in public, but there have been so many weddings where the speeches make me almost fall over laughing.  If only I could be that funny, maybe my fear of public speaking would go away.
