I realize that it seems I'm skipping right over Thanksgiving and moving straight on to Christmas, but fear not. I'm only helping you get a head start on your holiday shopping. So really, you should be thanking me! The sharp transition to holiday shopping usually catches me off guard, but I have a few suggestions to add to your shopping list this year! Oh, and don't you worry, I will still be fully enjoying Thanksgiving tomorrow and I hope you will be too. I've been busy keeping a weekly list of the big and small items I'm thankful for this year over on Ephram's blog and I truly hope you'll join me tomorrow for week four!
Without further ado, a list of fabulous & creative gifts for the 2011 holiday season that will blow the minds of your family and friends:
1. For the Family that Travels
Jenny and Josh Solar, the parents of three adorable children, introduced the Happy Family Movement's Adventure in a Box: Road Trippin' to the world this year. I was incredibly lucky to receive this as a thank you from some awesome clients this year and though we have yet to take a road trip, I'm already dying to try it out and I know I won't be disappointed when we do.
2. For the Family that Loves Creating
The Muppets looks like the perfect family movie this holiday season. I've heard great things and I'm sure it will be a hit with so many of the little ones this year. But make it even better and let the kiddos create their own wacky Muppet! (oh and pssst, they offer Gift Cards!)
3. For the stylish Family
I think just about every one of my mama friends would love these beautiful paper goods from Emily Vey's Holiday Pop-Up Shop. Her gorgeous 2012 Planner is so lovely and simple; I've been anticipating the release for awhile. And I'm not sure what mother would pass up any of the sweet stationary pads she offers.
4. For the Growing Family
Does your holiday list include an expecting family this year? A little bundle of joy on the way perhaps? Well, the fabulous Shawna of StyleBerryBlog just recently released the StyleBaby Log. It's the perfect way of keeping track of everything your newborn does. From those drowsy night time feedings to the length of their naps. And of course, it's so very stylish. I'd expect nothing less from Shawna!
5. For the Family that has everything
Finally, sometimes you run into those friends and family members who just seem to already have everything they’d want or need. But you know what, they can’t stop time! Why not give the gift of photography! Photo sessions with Donya Luana Photography currently start at just $100, so this holiday season, give a gift towards a session fee for someone you care about. The opportunity to create happy + fun family portraits are timeless and highly cherished gift.
Hopefully these items help you out a bit this year when it comes to the not-so-fun task of finding the perfect gift for the ones you love. If I help even one person I'll be a happy camper!
