Fireworks, Seabourne Creek Park | Houston Family Activities

dlp-houston-with-kids "Red! Green! Purple!  White!"  Ephram loved shouting out the colors he saw during his first real fireworks show.

We headed to the Rosenberg Family 4th Celebration at Seabourne Creek Park this year and it was a lot of fun.  With a two year old in tow, we didn't want to get there too early so after making sure he got a good afternoon nap, we headed over around 6:30. Parking wasn't too bad and the lines weren't ridiculous. We got ice cream shakes and kettle corn and walked around for awhile. Ephram really liked seeing Uncle Sam since he thought it was Santa.

The fireworks were great of course. Though we probably should have left a little early since the exit crowd was quite large. I think we ended up sitting in the car trying to get out of the parking lot for about an hour. Kind of touch on a tired two year old. Keep that in mind if you come here next year. Otherwise, a great Independence Day celebration!

The only thing that could have made the holiday better? Family. Maybe next year. :)

How was your Independence Day?
