So... we bought a house!! We're ecstatic, of course. Well most of us. Whenever I talk to Ephram about moving to the new house he tells me "all done with new house". It may take a week or so for him to warm up to it. This won't be our first house, but there will be a first happening in this house. Beau and I will own our first official land line. Yes, neither of us have had a land line since leaving our parents' homes. We have no need for one, but apparently having one will make our internet + cable package cheaper so why not. The nice thing is that we wil have a local area code phone number then since I don't think either of us are ready to part with our 612 and 952 area codes from Minnesota.
Ephram is becoming a master lego builder. Just a few months ago his creations were mostly limited to very tall, skinny towers with the sole intent on making them as tall as possible. But he's branched out recently to making horizontal structures as well. This week's best creations included a cactus, a tractor trailer, and a leaf blower (including sound effects, of course). I secretly hope this lego obsession leads to a love of smaller lego pieces with even more intricate designs later. There are so many cool ones out there.
Okay, okay, I really don't have much to share this week since my mind has been 98% focused on the new house. Maybe next Tuesday I'll prepare a walk through and some decorating ideas that have been floating through my head. Until then, here's a sneak peek at the outside.
