101 in 1001 – an update

01.03.2010 | 101 in 1001

101logo2

Well, I’ve had somewhat of a slow start to my list, and especially behind on documenting my accomplished goals.  So here is a wrap up of what I crossed off during 2009.  I also made a few changes to some goals, which may be cheating, but I think your goals should grow as  you go through life, so cheating is allowed in my book.

(the remainder of ) 2009:

#10 Finished my Christmas shopping very early.

#20 Watched 3 Star Trek movies.

#22 Bought a blu-ray player.

#24 Bought a car with cruise control.

#37 Created a website for my photography business.

#38 Was hired as a professional photographer.

#39 Created business cards for myself.

#81 Sent out Christmas cards to family and friends.

#60 Started on a playroom for our baby.

#74 Hosted a family holiday get together.

#85 Attended a Vikings game.

#88 Visited the North Shore.

I think I did a pretty good job actually and 2010 will bring many more accomplishments, I’m sure.  Hopefully I’ll do a better job of actually documenting it!

I'm working on my 101 in 1001 too - it's fun but hard work. I think it'll do a lot of good in the end.

I’m back from our trip to Glacier National Park!  And I’m marking #92 off my 101 list!

I have pictures galore. Check them out over at flickr:
donya luana - View my photos on Flickriver

And not only can I check #92 off my list, just before our trip, I purchased a Tokina 12.0-24.0 mm f/4.0 lens for the beautiful landscapes of Glacier National Park. And in addition, spent a few extra bucks to get a remote for my camera as well. Still not totally sure that I love it, but it is nice to not have to set the timer on the camera when we took pictures of the two of us together. I’ll get back to you on if I’m loving it or not.

Ok, I would love to stay and chat, but it’s summer and there is more important things to do outside.

April 2009 – Recap

04.30.2009 | 101 in 1001, personal

My first month of being 23 years of age.

Spring really coming (I was starting to worry it never would)

Some changes at work + yearly reviews which went just fine.

The one year anniversary of the marriage of Beau and I.

The realization that I love Beau even more than a year ago.

Anticipation of summer.

Anticipation of lilacs.

Anticipation of another year with Beau.

Here are a few images from the past month:

101 in 1001 Photography

1. Beautiful Day for a Walk, 2. Mae on the Deck, 3. happiness,

4. One pillow just isn’t enough., 5. No Longer, 6. Napping in the Sun,

7. Time to Sprout Out!, 8. My Exploring Girl, 9. A little bit of green.

A recap of my 101 Things:

#2: I guess April will count as a summer month, bc I already wore a skirt three times this month! Woo hoo!

#13: I haven’t learned any new Spanish yet, but signed up for an online class with some coworkers that is being offered.  Just haven’t heard back yet on when it will start.

#14: lol, this is sort of a silly goal… but I really enjoy the show despite all the liberal stupidness.  But I finished Season 1 on dvd today and hope to get Season 2 finished next month!

#28: Well, it’s been a slow start to this list, but hey, I think I’m doing well on this goal.

#42: Sort of the same thing going on with this goal as well.

#46: I haven’t exactly been keeping track of this, but I feel I’ve been doing a fairly good job of it.  I’ve been asking Beau to go for walks everyday that is warm and sunny, and more times than not, he says yes.  We even walked all the way to downtown to check out a local shop with some Amy Butler fabric last Friday.  And ate lunch at one of our local favorite restaraunts.

#49: I started late on this one as well, but I have been slowly getting back in the habit of taking vitamins each day.  And that’s all that matters to me.

#59: As you’ve seen in recent posts, I’ve finally scanned the “before and after” pictures of the house and taken some recent pictures.  These will go in my household notebook soon.

#30, #31, and #32… check!

Lightroom Organized

I had separated each of these tasks on my 101 things list because I really didn’t think I’d accomplish them all at the same time.  But here is proof.  The folder shows that I have all my pictures sorted by year > month > date (with the help of now importing all new photos through Lightroom).  And in Lightroom, you can see I’ve imported the pictures and they are all stored by date.  I worked a bit on sorting the tags for my pictures in Lightroom as well, but I am not quite sure the best way to do this yet, so it’s a work in progress.

And the moment I step away from my computer, I’ll be pushing the button to back up all the pictures on my external hard drive.  Yay!

Also, you may be wondering why I didn’t check off #87 after my spontaneous trip last week.  Sure, we did travel to Oklahoma, and sure we did see a storm, but since I still have 2 years, 4 months, 14 days left to complete the list, I am hoping I’ll actually be able to catch a better storm in that time. And maybe be a bit more awake for it.
