January Self Portrait: Getting Settled Here
I am going to do it! I'm going to take a monthly self-portrait this year and I'm GOING to stick to it. I've tried this in the past and have always failed. For some reason I just know this year will be different. I can feel the difference in my motivation. I want to do this. And I'm hugely inspired by three years of self-portraits Gail has created. Seriously, how awesome is that?
My second intention is to share a few, fun monthly goals. This month has been both exciting and tiring. Moving with a 3 and 1 year old (or really doing anything with children at those ages) is tiring. But it's been crazy exciting to begin setting up our lives in our new home. My only goals in January were to make sure everyone and everything survived the move. And I have to admit, my Emily Ley planner has significantly helped me stay organized through the moving chaos. I consider myself very technologically savvy, but I've found over the years that I still prefer a written out to-do list and planner.
For February, I have more enjoyable goals.
- Take lots of walks around our wonderful new neighborhood
- Paint & decorate the boys' rooms
- Organize my computer/craft area
- Be patient with my boys (all 3 of them)
- Play on the floor more with Ephram & Alwyn
