Life without laughter, smiles, giggles from little ones… well, I’m just not sure I’d want to imagine what that would be like.

It’s no secret that a family photo session that includes both a 2 year old and 10 month old will be a bit hectic, but these two girls were such sweethearts.  I tell parents that during a photo shoot, we bend the parenting rules a bit.  Treats, bribes, they’re okay for photo sessions because generally I want to keep those kids happy.

For this sweet family, keeping the little ones happy included toddler sized fruit snacks, a bit of tickling, a short milk break, lots of snuggling, and occasional running through the backyard.  Sounds like a pretty fun morning, doesn’t it?

All that fun lead to some amazing family photos.  In every single photo I snapped I could just feel how much they are loved by their parents and how much time they spend playing together and loving one another.  These are the images that make my heart skip a beat when I carefully edit them on my computer and present them to my clients.  I hope they do the same for you.

After we played outside for awhile, we headed indoors for story time.  These girls love their books.  And I couldn’t leave without capturing the twirling of mom’s hair between the small fingers of their oldest daughter.

Oh, the sweetness!
