I am so thrilled to share with you a sample of the Storybook Albums I offer with my portrait sessions.
I know it's 2013 and we live in a digital era. Which is fantastic! I live 1300 miles away from the majority of my family, but they are able to have near daily glimpses at my life and the lives of my children because of digital photography, Facebook, & Instagram. But there is something so magical about holding a beautiful, tangible album that has been hand-crafted just for you.
A Storybook Album can be passed down through generations. Keep it on a bookshelf, set it on the coffee table, or display it on the mantle - it will be ready at any time to help relive that time, and all the little details you forgot.
Touch is an important sense and I love the texture of this cover. The album is covered in a gorgeous linen and there are several muted, beautiful colors options to choose from.
The photos are printed directly on the 2mm thick pages and each page is custom designed with the photos from your session. I lean towards a very modern, simplistic page display and shy away from crazy design elements. Photos against the clean, white background really allow the beauty of the photos to stand out.
The album is a 10x10 square. Not too big or small. A very manageable size.
My favorite thing about these albums is that you can take photos that wouldn't necessarily be great framed on the wall, and use them in the album to tell your story. For example, the photo of Zach looking at the berries on the branch show his curiosity and shows a bit about his personality.
I really encourage you to consider a Storybook Album with your photo session. It's such a great way to capture the story of your family in a tangible, cohesive, and beautiful way.
