Project Life in 2014 & Other Plans
I am super excited to document 2014 with Project Life®. This will be my third year of memory keeping with Project Life®. For me, it's a place to keep all of those every day moments and photographs that are far too easy to forget if I don't write them down.
Creating the title page for a new year always gets me excited and this year was no exception. I started with the family photos we had taken in November and quickly picked a few cards from the Project Life® Jade kit and papers from Studio Calico's Thataway & Printshop collections that correlated well. The 3x4 card on the right side is from the Project Life® Personal Yearbook mini-kit.
I'm not making many changes with my 2014 album. I've found a good rhythm in using the Design A pocket protectors in 12x12 albums and structuring my spreads in a weekly format. In 2012 I worked primarily with the Clementine kit and other papers I had kept from my previous days in scrapbooking (in high school). In 2013 I added the Jade kit to my collection and became a paper addict! This year I'm on the Project Life® Creative Team and you'll likely see more Project Life® kits incorporated in my album, because they are all so amazing.
In addition to my documenting our 2014, I'm also jumping back in time to 2010 and 2011 to create albums for those years. My oldest son, Ephram, was born in 2010 and I have a plethora of photos from his baby years that I've never done anything with physically. I was 32 weeks pregnant with Ephram at the beginning of 2010, so I included one of the ultrasound photos of him in addition to our 2009 Christmas card photo.
I know years from now my boys will love looking back at these albums and I know it would be nice to have Ephram's infancy documented the way I have done with Alwyn. I definitely won't be sticking to a weekly format in the 2010 and 2011 albums since I wasn't taking as many photos then as I am today. And I'm sure I won't get quite as detailed about our daily activities, but I want those photos in an album and not just on a folder on my computer.
For my 2010 title page I wanted to incorporate a few square cards from the Just Add Color kit, so I sewed in four small squares on a Design A page protector. The other cards are from the Jade kit and the Baby for Him mini-kit.
