Project Life 2014 : January & Early February
Phew! I didn't want to wait so long to share a few Project Life pages, but life has been busy. As it always is, I suppose. Next week my oldest turns 4. I've been simultaneously completing a 2010 album this year and have finished spreads covering January through March. I'm excited to share, so look for a peek at that album next week.
The beginning of January was spent packing up our previous home and getting ready to move.
I began the year unsure if I would continue to document weekly so I left out a date from this spread. Now that we've moved and things have settled down a bit, I've gotten back into a weekly documentation schedule, but I definitely won't hold myself to creating a spread for each and every week this year.
I forgot to take close ups of this spread, but you can click the photo to see it larger.
Being a fairly big event, I wanted to keep this spread's content focused on the move. Which led me to enlarge the photo of the boys checking out the inside of the Uhaul.
We were at home this week. One of the first "settled" weeks in our new house. I didn't take a ton of photos though since we were still in the midst of renovating the boys' rooms.
The little "E" and "A" tags on the photos were made by cutting up one of the Kiwi Kit cards.
This week included Valentine's Day - the perfect way to include more of the pink/heart cards from the Kiwi Kit, I'd usually stray from with two boys. I'm not a big fan of Valentine's Day usually, but Ephram asked me to make cookies one day and I made some cute heart shaped ones. It's amazing how one simple thing can brighten up a week. I guess that's why it's okay to participate in a silly holiday like Valentine's Day.
Can you ever have too many hearts in a Valentine's Day spread? The stamped heart on the title card came from a Studio Calico kit last year.
Another card chopping example on the black & white photos of Alwyn's toes, which says "just another ordinary day", embellished with a couple of sequins.
